BIG STUFF
February 4–28, 2027
SoHo Playhouse, New York City

After a sold-out Toronto premiere, a Canadian tour, and a smash-hit, five-star run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus make their Off-Broadway debut with BIG STUFF.

A married comedy duo bring you a story about memory and the ordinary stuff that connects us all.

Matt Baram (Umbrella Academy, The Apprentice Movie)and Naomi Snieckus (Mr.D, Handmaids Tale) invite you to Big Stuff, a funny, generous, and surprisingly moving exploration of the objects we hold onto—and the memories we’re afraid to lose.

Directed by award-winning playwright Kat Sandler (Yaga and Anne of Green Gables), this fast-paced two-hander unpacks the emotional and absurd aspects of loss – from basement clutter to memories that linger.

BIG STUFF is a funny, moving and deeply personal show about grief, marriage, memory and the strange emotional power of our possessions.

And every night, the audience becomes part of it.

Before the show, audience members are invited to write down an object they own that reminds them of someone they love. Those objects and the stories behind them find their way into the performance, making every night of BIG STUFF a little different and reminding us that the things we hold onto are rarely just things.

Created with director Kat Sandler, BIG STUFF premiered at Toronto’s Crow’s Theatre before touring across Canada. In 2026, it played a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received multiple five-star reviews and won The List International Fringe Encore Series Edinburgh Prize, bringing the show to New York and the SoHo Playhouse.

With a style of humour honed at Second City and comedy clubs around the world, they turn everyday “things” into portals to love, loss, and identity. She wants to keep everything. He wants to throw it all away. Is she sentimental? Is he heartless? Or are they both just trying to make sense of what we carry with us—and why?

Big Stuff asks a simple question: What would you keep, and what would you let go?

Some things we keep. Some things keep us.

"Big Stuff more than earns its lofty yet casual title. If there’s any justice in this world, it will tour the country, continent — and world. It could very well become Canada’s answer to a hit like Every Brilliant Thing. Don’t miss it". (5 Stars). -Glenn Sumi

"It's hysterically funny yet they are so vulnerable and courageous! Run, don't walk!". -Jean Stilwell, Classical 96FM

"Big Stuff proves it's a Keeper" -Broadway World
